Bangladesh Overseas Employment & Services Ltd. (BOESL) was formed in 1984 as a public limited company, registered under the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies. Fifty-one percent was earmarked as government’s share and rest forty-nine percent for public subscription. In fact, BOESL is the only windows for export of manpower under government arrangement. Since its creation and until 2003, BOESL sent abroad 11,191 recruits, who are either professionals or skilled workers.
